Why I've been gone: I moved!

Last weekend I moved into my first ever non-university apartment in Washington DC! Thrilled at the chance to decorate, to sleep in my first "big kid" bed and have a little pie-de-terre in the city. 

 Here's what it looks like so far! Any DIY and decor suggestions or inspiration are welcome!
